Name: Töd Kinn
Age: Twenty-three elven years
Mature Adult: Yes
Gender: Female
Species: Elven Halfling
Placement: Land and sea
Alignment: Evil
Appearance: Pic One - drawn by a friend Pic Two - drawn by Windra Pic Three (colour) - also drawn by Windra
Töd is short for an elf, yet tall for a halfling. Her blue-black hair reaches the ground, but somehow never touches it. Her colourless eyes can penetrate even the most intense stare, but remain soft and elegant around friends. Her skirt and top are black, and her boots and the fabric tied around her breasts are both a shade of dark green. She carries her large broadsword strapped to her back, and her smaller, more decorative sword attatched to her belt along with her pouches and smaller weapons. She also wears six pieces of very important jewelry: a necklace, ring, bracelet, hair piece, earings, and skin stones in her shoulder. All of these have a related dragon insignia on them, and glow a faint blue when she is using a certain sect of her magic.
Personality: She has an easy-going personality, most of the time. She tends to stay passive, letting things sort themselves out. While she tries to keep it hidden, Töd is always trying to be aware of others, their thoughts, and their emotions. She reacts according to what's surrounding her, taking everything into consideration, before any major decision. Curiosity can lead her into trouble, though she tries her hardest to keep it in check. Being a calm person, she can also tend to be a quiet person. However, when she gets angry, she gets very angry. When she knows she's right, she'll defend herself to the grave, as with her friends. She holds a deep love for her close friends, and nothing will ever break it.
Magical Abilities: Töd's jewelry each helps her control a different relative of water. Her necklace aids her with all water-related magic, her ring with groundwater, her earings with ice, her hairpiece with fog and steam, her bracelet with rain, and her skin stones with crystal. She can manipulate water to do her bidding, and uses it in almost every aspect of her life.
Physical Abilities: Though her sword is taller than she, she can wield it with relative ease. It takes a great amount of effort, but if need be, Töd can wield the sword with one hand. She is very skilled at fighting, and tends to draw her broadsword before resorting to her magic for defence.
Töd is stronger than most halflings, and her legs are the strongest, probably because they have to carry the weight of her and all her weapons. She has strong abdominal muscles as well, and her arms are nearer to average. All this is due to intense training through the years.
Disadvantages: Her most obvious disadvantage is her height, though she's learned to use it well. Even with strong legs, she can't jump to distances she sometimes needs.
If someone were to severe even the smallest amount of Töd's hair, it would make it impossible for her to react to anything else. She would be blinded by pain, literally, her muscles would tense up, and she wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything but the pain coursing through her. This is why her hair is as long as it is.
Töd's aim isn't the greatest. She has never owned a bow, so she lacks the ability to use them well. She also has trouble aiming with throwing knives, or other missile weapons.
History: Growing up with a family that neglected her and treated her like she was worth nothing, Töd remained in solitude most of her childhood. Her family hated her only because she was a misfit: half their size, and had much more respect for the world than they. They made her do all the chores of the house, cook their food, and she was rarely permitted to go with them on trips. The only family member that treated her with any respect was her grandfather, who passed away shortly after she met him the first time.
It was a rainy night. Known then as Jöss (her birthname), Töd's parents told her that her grandfather wanted to meet with her. Of course, they couldn't figure out why; she wasn't worth anything. Nevertheless, they ventured to a field where he had said to meet him, Töd's mother, father and sister on horses, she walking. Apon seeing his face for the first time, the halfling knew her grandfather was gravely ill. She ran to him, and held him close. For some reason she knew he wasn't like the rest of her family; he cared about her. He spoke his first and last words to her then.
"Jöss Kinn, you are my granddaughter, and my true flesh and blood. Take this. Take this necklace and let the rain fall on it. Using it, you can gain powers and finally be able to escape the prison you call home. I love you, Jöss. Use your innate powers by my sake.' And with that, he was gone.
Thunder boomed, lightning struck. Töd took the necklace he offered her, and immediatly put it on. As she did so she felt her body change. She took comfort in the rain, no longer feeling damp and cold. The elf stood holding her grandfather's body in her arms, and wept. The only blood she had that cared for her had just passed, and she had no idea how to avenge his death. She wanted to forsake her family for bringing her there. They had caused her to see her grandfather die.
The halfling turned around and walked past her family, still holding her grandfather. She didn't know what she would do with him, but knew it would come to her. Eventually she found a raft to set him on, and let him drift down a river that led into open ocean. She felt he would appreciate the water surrounding him.
Desperate to get out of her prison, and fueled by her grandfather's words, Töd began training alone in her room. Fighting her mattress, her door, and even putting the occasional hole in her wall, she became stronger and stronger. She trained physically, but also used her magic to repair most the damage she had caused. She trained until she thought she was as strong as her family combined, and then trained more. Finally pleased with her abilities, she left her family, but not without fighting her sister first. She had the chance to kill her, but didn't take it. Blood was blood, no matter how cruel they were.
After she left home, she no longer used the name Jöss. She wanted to keep her name familiar, but not the same. She now went by Töd. From there the elf visited many places, along the way meeting her best friend Garta Winger, a gentle wolfess. She helped Töd further her training, and they travelled everywhere together.
The two friends then met Draan Marshaenough, and assisted him in creating the world he still lives in. Töd was in command of all the evil beings there, and he was in command of the good. Garta monitored newcomers into the land, and helped with major decisions. Living in the World of Draan was a great time in Töd's life, but she had to move on. She knew she would return, and still plans to.
Without Draan, they then went to Deep Forest. Garta was killed in a fight with a dragon, and left Töd to weep for her. In Deep Forest she met a family of three Darvs, a being she had seen once before, back in Draan. Shaylan Hinthraeoun, and her two children Eternal and Infernal, were the family. The four became good friends, and it was a tragedy when Shaylan passed away, leaving her children to Töd. The elf told her old darv friend from Draan about Deep Forest and the two children of his species, and he came over right away, eventually becoming a father figure to them.
Finally deciding it was her time to leave Deep Forest, and return to the World of Draan, Töd meant to make her goodbyes to the older darv and the children. However none of them could bear to see her go, so they, too, left with her. Draan himself found the twins very responsible, and bestowed upon them the honour of watching the two villages of his world, while Baerionth became a council member with Töd and Draan. Töd now remains in Draan, both on land and in sea. She has once more regained her position as leader of the evils.
